Below is a list of requirements that your network connection and server
will have to meet in order
to be even considered for a server link. If you meet all the requirements
it is up to the existing EQUNet admins to vote on a trial link and eventually
on a permanent link. 2/3 of available votes have to be in favour for the link to be

We aren't actively seeking for new servers because the
existing ones can handle the load.

- Synchronous 1 Mbps or better
- National and international routing without restrictions
- At least 1 static routable IP address, no NAT (Network Address Translation)
- Ports 4400, 6667 and 7000 should allow inbound TCP/IP (also SYN)
- Ports 1024..65536 or 49152..65536 should allow outbound TCP/IP to port 4400 (also SYN)
- Link uptime at least 99.5%

- 200 MHz, 128 MB RAM or better
- Common UNIX (Linux, BSD, Solaris, HP-UX, ...)
- Server uptime at least 99.9%
